“Sooo….,” Percy breathed heavily, sitting up from the spot where he had landed. Something creaked painfully as he moved to look over to where Annabeth had fallen beside him. She was sitting up and leaning back on the palms of her hands, her hair a perfectly tangled mess as her wide stormy eyes stared back at him. “After that near-death experience, I’m guessing you wanna retract your application to join the SAC.”
“Are you kidding me!?” Annabeth let out a hearty laugh, and Percy’s world paled in comparison. “That was so scary, it was almost fun! What ghost are we hunting next?!”

I love to headcanon that Percy and Annabeth are known to be the scarily hot/hotly scary power couple cause just think about all that’s already canon -
Percy’s known to be intimidating without trying, his neutral resting expression is literally a brood (aka an awful case of resting bitch face), he’s described to look like a trouble maker, when he does smile it’s a smirk and it’s crooked. Then physically he has very handsome features

absolute queen.I’m pretty sure we’ve had multiple characters state that they would be attracted to her except she kinda scares them. Once again, like Percy, she’s known to be intimidating without trying. She’s very pretty (seriously beautiful - direct quote from Percy Jackson,) is tall, lean, has long golden princess hair, and turbulent stormy eyes that swirl around like thunderstorms.Once again, hot damnSo they’re already pretty scary and pretty hot by themselves, but I just love imagining them when people see them as a couple. Like when they’re not talking and their faces are in a neutral resting state but from an outsider’s glance they look like they’re plotting to murder someone. (They’re actually very happy but you wouldn’t be able to tell that unless you knew them personally, and even then it’s kinda sketchy.) Or like when they actually are both really angry, holy shit just one glance at their faces makes you want to go running in the opposite direction. Just they look so casually intimidating that younger campers (and a good portion of the older) are nervous to go up to talk to them - then they do and they realize they were nervous for nothing.
But Percy and Annabeth as this really hot and super scary looking couple just gives me life.
